"You Don't Mess with the Zohan" is an Adam Sandler comedy that feels like a time capsule due to its poor age. I feel like there is a lot of silly comedy in here, and I genuinely found a lot of it funny, even when I felt bad for laughing. The movie is a fun watch if you go in just for ridiculous comedy, but the story just really isn't very engaging. I think a lot of the humor does get a bit repetitive, and it is longer than it needed to be. Overall, it is a movie with some fun to be had, but on a technical level, the movie isn't really good either, which I'm sure could be said for several Adam Sandler comedies.

I´m normally a fan of lowbrow PG-13 comedies. One of my all-time favorite films, for example, is The Waterboy, always good for a reliable laugh. Heck, I even enjoyed The Ringer, which tells you my standards for these kinds of films are pretty low. However, You Don´t Mess With The Zohan is just too bad to ask anyone else to sit through it. I tried, I really tried. A buddy of mine and I set it up in the home theater and gave it our best shot, but we had to end the misery. There is crude sexual humor, and then there are gross sexual attempts at humor. This is the second catergory. It´s just uncomfortable, constant, and so foul that it makes you dislike the main character for being a part of it. Trust me, it takes a lot for me to dislike an Adam Sandler character! This movie accomplishes it. Don´t ruin your impression of goofy Sandler films with this mess. Trust me.
