Some of the character choices also did not make a whole lot of sense. Felt like if the characters made the best choices, this would be a whole lot shorter. See more Ria T @Riannahwoof May 23 SPOILER! Do not read if you're still planning to watch. Def a reco tho! It's a pretty good thriller, had a lot of fun trying to guess what's next and I was, to my surprise, wrong for the most part. I expected certain scenes to end differently than how they did, they turned out better in a way and I liked that. However, Ruben's death was quite random and unnecessary for me. I don't think it helped with the plot at all. Overall tho, it was well paced and a great movie with fitting characters. It's just a serial killers fan service, from the détectives that are perfectly incompétent, the usual tech stuff that is ridiculous and -spoiler- scene when thé killer enters sigourney's appartement.... It was very well acted and directed and so on. The opening was good as was the continuing story. My only gripe was that it was a thriller first and foremost. I was expecting a more serious script, given that it's about serial killers, but the acting was wooden and too soulless. Sigourney Weaver and Holly Hunter were OK, but this was far below their capabilities. Some 80's films are a bit par for the course. Just not gritty enough, this was no exception.
