Although they made their way through high school successfully, an investigation at a local college brings big changes for undercover officers Jenko and Schmidt. When Jenko meets a kindred spirit on the football team and Schmidt infiltrates the bohemian art-major scene, both men begin to question their partnership. Not only do they have to crack the case, but now the two overgrown adolescents must learn how to behave like adults.

22 JUMP STREET fully commits to its sequel status with self-conscious glee, and gets a lot of mileage out of its college setting as well. By being more focused on satirizing sequels, rather than college buddy comedy tropes, this movie doesn't quite reach the giddy heights of the first film, but this excellent cast still delivers a solidly good time and lots of laughs, worthy of repeat viewing.

22 Jump Street is a very good sequel to 21 Jump Street because it understands exactly what made the first movie work and then has fun with the idea of being a sequel on purpose. The movie keeps the same fast comedy, sharp chemistry, and ridiculous energy, but it also jokes about repeating the formula in a way that actually makes it feel fresh. Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum are still great together, and their back-and-forth carries the film with ease. The action is bigger, the humor is even more outrageous, and the movie never takes itself too seriously, which is part of its charm. It knows it is a sequel, and instead of pretending otherwise, it turns that into one of its biggest strengths. Overall, 22 Jump Street is funny, entertaining, and smartly self-aware. Solid 8/10, A strong follow-up that delivers exactly what a good sequel should.

10x better when you're intoxicated. Not to say that this movie isn't full of great comedic moments! Ice cube was so good. Jonah hill was hilarious. Personally like the sequel better than the first.
