Raven Shaddock (Willem Dafoe), along with his gang of merciless biker friends, kidnaps rock singer Ellen Aim (Diane Lane). Ellen's former lover, soldier-for-hire Tom Cody (Michael Paré), happens to be passing through town on a visit. In an attempt to save his star act, Ellen's manager, Billy Fish (Rick Moranis), hires Tom to rescue Ellen. Billy and Tom, along with former soldier McCoy (Amy Madigan), battle through dangerous cityscapes, determined to get Ellen back.

Walter Hill directs the hell out of this and there are more people in the cast who understand the assignment than do not. But boy do the ones who blow it, along with some second-tier songs from Jim Steinman, render this one of Hill's weaker efforts.

Filme fraco, o roteiro é fraco, as cenas são fracas, a história é fraca, o elenco é fraco, e ninguém ajuda a melhorar o filme, os personagens são fracos, e o filme deveria ter cenas bem melhores e relevantes, para fazer o filme ser bom

Did I watch the same movie as everyone else? I actually thought this was a parody at one point because I couldn’t believe how awful it was. One guy said it aged well too, what about the part when he punches her in the face to knock her out? Or when it was basically revealed that the reason she was kidnapped was to be raped? I wish I took a sip of beer for every cheesy one liner, so that I wouldn’t have remembered the second half of the movie.

Walter Hill certainly tried as hard as he could. Great worldbuilding, cast, visuals, soundtrack, action scenes. Script and overall plot are not the movie's strongpoints. Amazing how many in the cast went on to big Hollywood careers. Surprised Michael Pare wasn't one of them.

This is such a well made movie start to finish! Lighting, costumes, scenery, set and music. Super cast. Action and fun. Dance from Marine Jahan from flash dance was awesome. Excellent!

This thing reads like Phantom Of The Paradise meets The Warriors except set in a weird 1950’s Rock n’ Roll dystopian alternate universe! So…don’t you really wanna see it!?!
