Artur P @RT18658129 Mar 22 I thought it would be another cheesy film with Hugh Jackman, but I was wrong and at the same time, very surprised. Big applause for the movie director and the entire crew; they made a fantastic and intense film with their own theory, probably based on Buddhist traditions, about what happens in the afterlife. I don’t want to spoil too much, but if you are a fan of Christopher Nolan-style 'mindfks'**, the same thing happens here. You will enjoy it! Hoy con mas experiencia y mas adulto la recorde por cosas de la vida, la busque, la encontre y la volvia a ver, resulta que esta película es... hermosa, extraordinaria, una joya de filosofía, pasión, drama y ficción, las interpretaciones de los actores estan perfectas, la musica es perfecta, los efectos especiales son perfectos para la época hoy en día ya no encuentras películas asi, tan desarrollas y excelentes, ya no hay películas donde se cuente la historia especial que creo un ser humano, no hay tiempos, todo es acción y números, todo es tan comercial que pierden la creación real del autor escritor o director, esta película respeta eso, es una verdadera cosa preciosa, algo muy especial y único. It is a film that needs to be felt, the way the director intended. Those who try to dissect it analytically lose the experience. The cinematography and score are of unparalleled beauty and work in harmony, dressing this masterpiece with everything necessary for the viewer to be fully immersed and to follow the cycle of life and death. It doesn’t need to invent a groundbreaking scenario; it approaches universal, timeless themes and does so in the right way—mystical and grandiose. Excellent performances from both actors, with the striking contrast between Tomas’s agony and Izzi’s softness underscoring the battle between acceptance and defiance of death. Hugh Jackman gives one of the best performances of his career, effectively playing three distinct characters while maintaining a powerful emotional throughline. Its lessons on love and loss transcend time and culture, which is why the film may initially feel disjointed—but that’s also part of what makes it so compelling. The open-ended nature invites personal interpretation. Darren Aronofsky delivers some truly visionary camerawork, and the subtle yet powerful score elevates the film to something close to perfection.
