The story is recycled but the stuntwork saves this 3rd installment once again.
Best bad guy. Least interesting story. But still fun as hell!
jason statham needs to retire
Jason Statham impresses with stuntwork, but everything else is either choppily presented or just plain uninteresting.
Average installment of the series. Some of the editing using old school fast motion techniques Repeatedly look Corny. This was the weakness of the movies in this franchise.
It has action but very little else.
A pretty exciting action adventure flick with one of my fav action adventure guys-Jason Stratham, who although he's over 40 and bald, has one fantastic torso, and a dry sense of expression like a desert during drought! The thrills are very well done, as you would expect from Luc Besson. Fun, entertaining thrill ride!
Statham finds himself forced to do a transportation job he doesn't want to do when the man he suggested in his place fails and the bad guys hook him up with a device that will explode if he tries to leave his car. He doesn't know what he's supposed to deliver or why a young Russian woman has to go with him. A serviceable action flick that gets by on Statham's inherent likability. Cory Yuen choreographs the fighting and it's not bad, but Olivier Megaton has a tendency to cut too often and spoil a fight scene. The action isn't incoherent as so much fast cutting renders in these days, but it does dull the impact significantly.
It's good movie to watch
Most third films to a series are the biggest and over the top and carry very little of what made its original so fresh. This sequel is no different. It's okay to pass the time with but it enhances nothing about Frank Martin and his profession nor does it develop him in any new way. It's all more of the same and that's fine for viewers that like that. Overall it's not good but not bad either.
