[Nightgowns] at least has an informative structure, highlighting each act bite by bite, giving us a rousing performance at the end of every installment. It's a mini-documentary that could live anywhere, really, but exists on Quibi just fine.

It doesn't dig very deep and it's never revelatory, but the personalities, including Velour's, are easy to invest in.

The stage show is legitimately impressive, but the show can't quite crack its protagonist... Maybe mystique is a valuable trait for a performer, but it's not hard to crave a bit more of an artist this manifestly talented.
