On an adventure, brothers Wirt and Greg get lost in the Unknown, a strange forest adrift in time. A wise old woodsman and bluebird Beatrice help them find their way. Along the way, Wirt's thoughts envelope him, while the wonder of the surroundings preoccupy Greg. The miniseries -- based on creator Patrick McHale's cartoon short "Tome of the Unknown" -- features animation that evokes a nostalgic storybook feeling, inspired by folk art and classic illustrations. The voices include Elijah Wood and Christopher Lloyd with Samuel Ramey, Chris Isaak and John Cleese among guests.

Ry N @RyGuy Nov 19 The series follows two lost half-brothers in the Unknown. This has the goofiness of Adventure Time with each episode having a creepy antagonist like Courage the Cowardly Dog. Most of the show follows random adventures of Wirt and Greg but wraps up nicely in the final couple episodes. BEWARE THE BEAST! See more FLICKSWITH M @FLICKSWITHMIGS Oct 15 A very underrated tv series, this is Cartoon Network’s equivalent to Disney’s Gravity Falls, just in a much more surreal creepier environment, but like that show it also mixes plenty of genres altogether led by two charming characters with differing personalities that blend in harmony with it’s wonderous musical score and striking animation style. Each episode feels like a cozy, enchanting journey that leaves you with a warm yet thoughtful feeling. Perfect for both kids and adults alike. Highly recommend for anyone who appreciates clever storytelling and gorgeous visuals! - flickswithmigs See more Dustin J Sep 26 Amazing animation through and through. Very fall festive See more Farah R @Farah Sep 22 It’s been a decade since I first watched Over the Garden Wall and it’s become a tradition to rewatch it every autumn. The story, characters, and visuals never seize to capture my imagination and fill me with a longing for adventure. See more ibraham o Mar 5 its so inspiring ending that we are unknowingly feeding our suffering fire See more Jay W 11/20/2024 This series just throws you into the middle of a very strange world. The only grounding elements are Wart and Gregory. They are in spooky woods, and their goal is simple, they are trying to get home. This setup works because of the likability and relatability of the characters. In many ways, we the audience are as lost as they are. So as they react to their strange surroundings, we are likewise surprised by what exists in this world. The story is intentionally vague, but heavy on vibes, and additionally full of good jokes. The animation and voice acting are top notch. Like movie level quality for these 10 episodes. Over the Garden Wall is over the top good. See more Read all reviews
