Skip Ward

Skip Ward was an accomplished actor who appeared in many action-packed flicks over the course of his Hollywood career. Ward kickstarted his acting career in various films such as the Joel Lawrence action picture "Road Racers" (1959), "Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea" (1961) with Walter Pidgeon and the comedy "The Nutty Professor" (1963) with Jerry Lewis. He also appeared in "The Night of the Iguana" (1964), "Is Paris Burning?" (1966) and the Paul Newman dramatic adaptation "Hombre" (1966). He kept working in film throughout the sixties and the seventies, starring in the Elvis Presley musical comedy "Easy Come, Easy Go" (1967), the crime thriller "The Mad Room" (1969) with Stella Stevens and "Myra Breckinridge" (1970) with Mae West. He also appeared in the drama "A Woman For All Men" (1975) with Keenan Wynn. Ward had a number of different projects under his belt in the eighties through the nineties, including "Kung Fu: The Movie" (CBS, 1985-86), "Ohara" (ABC, 1986-88) and "Fit to Kill" (1993). His credits also expanded to "Hard Hunted" (1993) and "Executive Decision" with Kurt Russell (1996). Ward last produced "The Dukes of Hazzard -- Hazzard in Hollywood" (CBS, 1999-2000). Ward passed away in June 2003 at the age of 71.
