Dryburgh has contributed to the budding New Zealand cinema as a director of photography for three noteworthy projects. The cinematographer for the fine short film "Kitchen Sink" (1989) and the esteemed Jane Campion productions, "An Angel at My Table" (1990) and "The Piano" (1993).
