This is a superb move and beautifully filmed. It is worth your time and takes its place among the best expressions of this ground-breaking story.

Even though at first it's hard to understand why this movie was made in these modern times, its sentiment and mood are actually values that are still hard to find but sought after today. It was a pleasant 2 and threequarter hour stay in the company of these people and their search for simple things like tenderness and freedom. I wasn't bored one minute.

A solid drama film with some good acting. Some of the more intimate scenes feel a bit uncomfortable to watch at first, with the more realistic touch, lack of background music etc. Almost feels like peeping into other people personal lives, but in the end it serves the film as a whole.

Intelligent adaptation of the once-notorious story.

A wealthy woman, living in loneliness and desolation after her husband returns home from war paralyzed, she finds sexual and romantic consolation in her unlikely relationship with her gameskeeper. Achingly lengthy, nearing three hours in length, and inexcusably cold and naďve, this film inspired by D.H. Lawrence's famous work is only appealing for its visual style in its erotic charge.

If only affairs weren't real.

While not poorly done, I just found this too monotonous and boring.

Pas mal, sans plus, on s'ennuit vite, très ferme. Pas assez sulfureux pour marquer les esprits, des acteurs assez bons, une intrigue un peu dà (C)suette, une histoire connue...

Realistic and lovely. Recommended.

Favorite lines;

Lady Chatterley: It's never the obvious that happens, is it?

Lady Chatterley: We want to make the world dance to our tune, that's all. But the world's got a tune of its own, much older than ours.

Slow at times but enjoyable to watch.

Given the reputation of Lawrence's classic novel (which I have not read), one might have expected a crude and marginally pornographic sexploitation movie. Instead, it's the story of the unfolding of a passionate love. There is nothing tawdry in the relationship, not even in the frank and explicit sex scenes. The action takes place in beautiful surroundings, and is filmed by a nature-lover. Despite a flawed ending, this version of Lady Chatterley is a minor masterpiece, and richly deserves the honors it has received.

Nice and realistic adaptation of the novel, the best among the others. Acting was terrific from the lead actress.

Que c'est rasant et long ! Le summum est atteint quand les deux amoureux se posent des fleurs sur leurs pubis respectifs...

This was almost three hours too long. The story was slow, the "lovers" were unconvincing n their roles, and I really don't buy that no one knew what they were up to that entire time. The ending was awful after a very slow movie.

Very sensual, sexy, and true to Lawrence's story. Includes class war and politics, but in small doses! Prettily shot, and very French.

Very honest story about a woman's discovery... And a beautiful love story!

Las actuaciones son buenas, pero la pelĂcula es tan lenta y larga que se pierde el interĂ (C)s.

My response is WTF?! Probably one of the most boring movies ever made.
