Attorney Matt Murdock (Ben Affleck) is blind, but his other four senses function with superhuman sharpness. By day, Murdock represents the downtrodden. At night, he is Daredevil, a masked vigilante, a relentless avenger of justice. Worst of all is the finale, which features a protracted duel with villain Bullseye, utilizing copious amounts of bad CG that cheapens the choreography and any potential for a satisfying demise.

I remember watching the theatrical version when I was a kid, and I enjoyed it then. As an adult, I heard that the Directors cut was far superior, so I gave it another go. It's still not a good movie by any stretch of the imagination, but I can't imagine sitting through it without the directors cut. I don't know what stuff was added or why the directors cut is better, but I probably would have collapsed if the movie were any worse. What it ended up being was a tolerable delve into a character that has been explored much much more effectively in a modern TV setting. Dont go into this film expecting anything essential about daredevil to be revealed. Its entirely missable for anyone but ultra fans of daredevil who want every piece of content possible, good or bad.

Director’s Cut version is very enjoyable but the theatrical version is 30 minutes shorter and much worse.
