College dropout Steve Jobs (Ashton Kutcher), together with his friend, technical whiz-kid Steve Wozniak (Josh Gad), sparks a revolution in home computers with the invention of the Apple 1 in 1976. Too often the audience is taken out of the scene with thoughts of" Hey, isn't that Ashton Kutcher?" simply because the portrayal comes off too contrived.

Jobs' remarkable life and persistently prickly personality are simply too complicated and his roller-coaster ride to the top of the personal-computing business is simply too crammed with improbable side trips and switchbacks to distill into 128 minutes.

I always avoided this movie because I figured it would be a brown-nosed portrait, idolizing Jobs as a tech god. I was surprised to find that it showcased how flawed an individual he was.

This movie had a great beginning with them starting apple and what it soon became. It never got to the point where apple became truly revolutionary which i was waiting for.

I've followed Apple since the beginning. This movie is very accurate. I first used an Apple 2 in 1981. I saw the Macintosh Super Bowl Ad when it premiered at the start of Halftime in 1984. The only thing missed was Jobs and his staff visiting the Xerox Palo Alto Research Center (PARC) and discovering the Graphic Users Interface and Mouse. But, the movie didn't have time for everything probably. The movie follows both the invention phases of the Apple, Apple 2, Lisa, and Macintosh and all the business and politics issues that followed. It is a good piece of History. Well Done Movie.

This movie really captures the start of Apple as a company. We can see the struggle that Steve Jobs had during his life working at Apple, and in his personal life. Despite the critics, I really enjoyed it!
