It is no surprise that it's a darkly funny movie, because when a budget is a 100 million $ you can't simply make a horror flick, it would be to risky. Thankfully this movie was fun from the beginning till very end. Set design of this movie is simply one of the very best ever created till this day. Film looks astonishingly, with all Gothic touches, it is definitely of the best and stylish looking movies of all time. The story is very good and intriguing, it plays like good old fashioned mystery with horror elements. Although i don't find this movie particularly scary, it has some spooky moments. Sound design, make up, cinematography were all Oscar worthy. Overall, "Sleepy Hollow" is an excellent Gothic mystery horror film made by a great but uneven Tim Burton.
