funster W 4d The MCU’s take on the X-Men feels like a fresh yet respectful reintroduction of one of Marvel’s most beloved teams. What works best is how the film balances character depth with large-scale spectacle. Instead of rushing into nonstop action, it takes time to explore themes of identity, belonging, and prejudice — which have always been at the heart of the X-Men story. The performances bring emotional weight to the mutant struggle, and the chemistry among the team members makes their unity believable. Visually, the powers are portrayed with impressive detail, especially during the major battle sequences. At times, the film feels slightly overloaded with setup for future storylines, but it never loses focus on its core message. It's loosely based on the Phoenix Force comics. But this time, Jean Grey gets a rushed "split personality" retcon thanks to Xavier's meddling. It's insulting to Rogue (whose power is killing everyone through touch) when Storm says that the mutant cure is no good for her or any other mutant. Kelsey Grammer is great as Beast. The cure for mutants is an interesting idea and moral dilemma. It's crazy how many characters unceremoniously die in this version. I unintentionally laughed at the British scrawny Juggernaut's goofy costume. The climax results in "Sorry Logan, we need to put down Jean Grey like she's Old Yeller". The fight itself at Alcatraz is decently entertaining with lower stakes. The Phoenix saga storyline feels crammed into the cure storyline. It's such a messy storyline and a very meh ending to the original X-men trilogy. It isn't terrible (the action and acting are still solid), but it's very disappointing. La mayoría de reseñas de otros espectadores son muy acertadas. No es que la película sea mala, solo que, a diferencia de las 2 anteriores, sí sientes que decae. En otras reseñas he expresado mi disgusto por esta adaptación de Jean Grey, y ver una película donde ella es básicamente la villana lo hizo peor para mí (me disgusta el concepto del Fénix, incluso en los cómics). Además, la falta de otros personajes como Cyclops y el profesor X tampoco me gusta mucho, pero admito que me encanta el hecho de que Storm adopte el papel de líder en la escuela, ella es muy maternal, inteligente y cool, la actriz hace una adaptación muy acertada del personaje. También es importante reconocer las referencias sociales y culturales que contiene esta cinta, me gusta mucho la comparación que hace un crítico hablando de la cura y la comunidad LGBTQ+. Diría que si ya viste las dos películas anteriores, no hay razón por la cual no debas ver esta, pero repito que no es la mejor. However, It’s a bit choppy and sidelines many characters. Scott Summer/Cyclops in particular. While sometimes fun, I didn't feel it was a satisfying conclusion to the trilogy.
