Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk and Tim Minear reimagine the procedural drama with "9-1-1." The series explores the high-pressure experiences of first responders -- including police officers, firefighters and dispatchers -- who are thrust into the most frightening, shocking and heart-stopping situations. These emergency responders must try to balance saving those who are at their most vulnerable with solving the problems in their own lives. The show draws from real-life, high-pressure experiences of first responders who regularly face heart-stopping situations that are often unpredictable, intense and uplifting at the same time.

In truth, picking apart 9-1-1’s quirks and exposing its shortcomings is one of the true joys of watching the show. It’s interactive viewing of the best kind and as you and your viewing partner(s) try outdo each other on guessing what will happen next. Go to Full Review

(ENGLISH) 9-1-1 doesn’t try to reinvent television, but that doesn’t stop it from being a highly effective show at what it does: entertaining. From its very first season, it’s managed to hook viewers with a well-balanced mix of drama, adrenaline, and surprisingly relatable characters. While some storylines may feel like they're pushing the limits of believability, they work. And they work well. Each episode is an emotional rollercoaster: one minute you’re watching an impossible rescue from a burning building, and the next you’re immersed in the personal conflicts of the main characters. That’s where the series truly shines. Beyond the disasters and shocking moments, the characters are well developed. They're not just “heroes of the day” — they’re people with trauma, doubts, complicated pasts, and relationships that evolve over time. Some episodes even manage to tug at your heartstrings when you least expect it. Is it over the top? Absolutely. Are there unrealistic moments? Of course. But that’s part of its charm. The important thing is that it’s never boring. It’s fun to watch, and episode after episode, it maintains a steady rhythm between high-stakes action and emotional growth. Not every procedural drama can say the same. If you accept its tone and go along for the ride, 9-1-1 rewards you with a gripping, intense, and often surprising TV experience. It’s not a masterpiece, but it delivers on its promise — and sometimes, that’s more than enough. See more Doc M @RT27563760 09/20/2022 How in gods name is this show still airing. Every scenario is as predictable ad the weather. And I'm no shaman. Terrible over acting. Dull deliveries and disasters pulled straight from random sub reddits. This show in a decade will be remembered as the show no one watches anymore. And dont get me started on Jennifer Love Hewit. Worse overly emotional actress in a series award goes to her. See more johann m @Johann33 06/05/2022 NOT BAD! After moving on from the pandemic, the procedural drama continues to explore the high-pressure experiences of first responders, now focusing on post-traumatic effects, post-partum depression and dangerous hero complexes. It was not a very action-packed season, focusing more on the dramatic side, however the fire at the 9-1-1 centre was very thrilling. It was entertaining in general but it was kind of sad to see some relationships come to an end. See more 05/31/2022 Fuck this show. I don't know what happened, the first 2 seasons were great. The third was alright. 4 was shit. This season is terrible. Why did Maddie and Chim break up? What the hell? The beginning 3 episodes big "disaster" was the worst thing ever. It was worse than mudslide of season 4. This show should be cancelled. See more 05/17/2022 I love 9-1-1 but this season was meh. The drama with the girlfriends was annoying and I didn't enjoy Eddie away from the team. Felt very soap opera like. I enjoy a little danger and for a show about firefighters there was actually very little action. I would prefer it if they would move a little back to the action drama and away from the romance drama. See more 04/13/2022 We excitedly and anxiously await for the return of Chimney and Maddie only to learn their marriage ends. So disappointed in this direction, I'm done with this show.
