Being the assistant to a successful businessperson isn't always the most glamorous job somebody can have, but it can be a steppingstone to something bigger in a person's chosen career path. "Like a Boss" follows the motivated assistants of four of Atlanta's biggest power players, whose success they want to emulate as they advance through their own careers. Amber Grimes, who dreams of becoming a mogul, answered the call when entertainment magnate Nick Cannon needed an assistant to help launch the Atlanta office of his production company NCredible; Drekia Glenn hopes working for music executive Abou Thiam will be a launching pad to finding success in the industry; Devin Simpson is from a small town, but he hopes working for real estate agent Blair Myers will help him move up to the big city of Atlanta; and Rian Parish, who has missed out on quality time with her children because of her job as assistant to DJ Big Tigger.
