When former Princeton music professor Arthur Cochran unexpectedly stumbles into choir practice at a small-town church, he finds an oddball group of singers that is out of tune in more ways than one. Despite the ultimate clash of sensibilities, Arthur and his newfound cohorts, including temporary choirmaster Ginny, her ex, Wayne, vocal powerhouse Adams, gentle giant Dwayne, the impossibly upbeat Reverend Jax and more, may just be the perfect mix of individuals to help each other reinvent and rediscover a little happiness... just when they all need it most.

It's a fun, uncomplicated show. It electric. A perfect dose of exaggerated rural weirdness and big city snobbishness. Good voices, catchy songs with hilarious alternative lyrics and a few earworms. Ignore the so-called professional 'critics', apperently they lost their sense of humour. And rhythm. Not even a giggle or a hum. Watch the show. You'll enjoy it. Don't overthink.

It has some great moments, and it's nice to see a tv show take place in a small town setting. It feels apparent though that they writers don't think all that highly of Kentucky, Kentuckians, or Christianity. There is a great disconnect because of this lack of love.

I truly love this show. It brings happiness in a complicated time. It has great heart and great meaning in each episode. It is a show that the whole family can watch and enjoy. The Season Finale was great! Give this show a try when it comes back for Season 2. It will definitely brighten you day.
