Working for a power company in Alaska is dangerous work - having to go out in the state's unforgiving conditions to build and maintain power lines. This series takes a look at employees of three electric companies -- Alaska Line Builders, Electric Power Constructors and City Electric -- that operate in the 49th state. The workers confront dangerous weather and terrain daily, often miles from safety, as they build and maintain the state's power grid that is ravaged by subzero temperatures, avalanches and strong storms during the dead of winter.
