A bite-sized delight that has a little something for everyone. It’s not too sweet that it’s saccharine, and it’s got plenty of spicier, more action-packed moments for viewers who may not be in it for the fun of watching Rilakkuma come to life. Ericalandia T @RT97431122 03/03/2025 A delightful stop animation. The first show was a year-in-the-life of a little chosen-family, a hybrid of a human mom/friend/caretaker and two bears and a bird. Rilakkuma is a very popular character in Japan whose name means Relax Bear. He and his non-verbal friends love snacks and pancakes.The pace was slow and cozy, showing the seasons change and a simple life. The Amusement Park takes a detour into plots of 'unfortunate events' and misunderstandings, introducing many accessory characters that take over the focus of the show. My opinion is that the writers lost the central inspiration for why people come to watch Rilakkuma. We don't need to see him hungry, frustrated and stranded in an amusement park all day while mostly selfish and troubled characters work out their issues. I hope they try again and re-center.
