We get a host of monsters conjured from a spell book and a Klaatu-like alien invader straight out of The Day the Earth Stood Still — but villain parodies are what the series does in its sleep.

At the end of its blessedly short 90 minute run time, you may feel a bit overwhelmed. Minions & Monsters is still a good laugh, if a bit overstuffed. It’s a colorful, chaotic ride that proves you really can have too much of a good thing.

Unfortunately, once the Minions actually arrive in Hollywood, the narrative starts repeating itself. The film keeps relying on similar gags, and after a while it begins to drag.

Is was terrible for little ones. Ours were so bored that we never made it to the monster part. They are huge minion fans but this wasn't it. The violence is a lot for preschoolers - the queen's beheading was just bizarre.

Had a pretty big curse word in it. See one person evaporate and there is a decapitation shown showing meat and bone and head laying on ground. It doesn’t cut away. I usually love Minions and Despicable Me but this is my least favorite of all the movies. Definitely 10 years old and up. I have an 8 and 10 year old. Both liked the movie but was disturbed by the things listed above.
