Rating Title/Year Author
7/10 Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw (2019) Emmanuel Noisette Hobbs and Shaw is the standard definition of a popcorn flick with loads of action, a couple of laughs, and no thinking required. EDIT

7/10 Crawl (2019) Emmanuel Noisette When you combine a natural disaster, scary predators, confined spaces, all through a personal human lens, you have a solid film on your hands. EDIT

6/10 Once Upon a Time... in Hollywood (2019) Emmanuel Noisette Once Upon A Time In Hollywood is a huge serving of fan service for the purists of movie buffs and only the most hardcore of Tarantino fans. EDIT
Posted Jul 26, 2019
6/10 Men in Black: International (2019) Emmanuel Noisette Men In Black: International is a generic, unimaginative, cookie-cutter MIB film that will probably be forgotten without the help of any neuralyzers. EDIT
Posted Jul 26, 2019
8/10 Annabelle Comes Home (2019) Emmanuel Noisette Annabelle Comes Home is a scary fun time with a doll you'd never want to play with. EDIT
Posted Jul 26, 2019
8/10 The Lion King (2019) Emmanuel Noisette The Lion King is a visually captivating film that looks like a National Geographic show narrated by Disney. It could never beat the original, but that's okay. EDIT
Posted Jul 26, 2019
5.5/10 Ma (2019) Emmanuel Noisette Ma is an excellent showcase of Octavia Spencer's talent, but the crazy train can only take you so far. EDIT
Posted Jul 26, 2019
8.5/10 Spider-Man: Far From Home (2019) Emmanuel Noisette Spider-Man: Far From Home is the perfect palate cleanser for the bittersweet ending of Endgame, and yet still manages to be one of the better Spider-Man movies to date. EDIT
Posted Jun 30, 2019
6/10 Dark Phoenix (2019) Emmanuel Noisette X-Men: Dark Phoenix is a lackluster, emotionally empty, and rushed ending to a cherished franchise that deserved so much better. EDIT
Posted Jun 5, 2019
6/10 Godzilla: King of the Monsters (2019) Emmanuel Noisette Godzilla: King of the Monsters is a monster movie that feels like a restaurant that gets your order wrong. Thanks for more monsters but I requested to hold the unnecessary human drama. EDIT
Posted Jun 5, 2019
8.5/10 John Wick: Chapter 3 -- Parabellum (2019) Emmanuel Noisette John Wick 3 is a buffet of action that only leaves you wanting more, and would definitely make PETA proud. EDIT
Posted May 26, 2019
7/10 Aladdin (2019) Emmanuel Noisette Aladdin is a family fun film that has just enough magic to entertain fans of the original, despite a few flaws. EDIT
Posted May 26, 2019
9/10 Avengers: Endgame (2019) Emmanuel Noisette Avengers Endgame is a bittersweet love letter to Marvel fans that ushers in a satisfying amount of closure. EDIT
Posted Apr 26, 2019
5/10 Hellboy (2019) Emmanuel Noisette Hellboy is a mixed bag of blood, guts, corny jokes, and a discombobulated story that begs for the return of Guillermo Del Toro. EDIT
Posted Apr 11, 2019
5.5/10 Pet Sematary (2019) Emmanuel Noisette Pet Sematary was scarily disappointing, and doesn't come close to living up to the level of horror for a Stephen King adaptation. EDIT
Posted Apr 7, 2019
8/10 Shazam! (2019) Emmanuel Noisette By letting this movie stay true to the nature of the character, Shazam! is free to have a unique voice of its own. EDIT
Posted Mar 25, 2019
7.5/10 Us (2019) Emmanuel Noisette A freshly unique homage to classic horror films with a splash of social commentary. Sadly, the expectations for "Us" will be "tethered down" by the success of "Get Out". EDIT
Posted Mar 21, 2019
6.5/10 The Hummingbird Project (2018) Emmanuel Noisette The Hummingbird Project is an alluring and smart film, especially for IT and financially savvy professionals. It's still an overly techy movie that isolates its audience with the subject matter. EDIT
Posted Mar 18, 2019
7.5/10 Captain Marvel (2019) Emmanuel Noisette The closest thing to an agenda this movie may take on is simply having more female representation, while not compromising the comic book story of Captain Marvel in the process. EDIT
Posted Mar 6, 2019
8/10 Marshall (2017) Emmanuel Noisette If you think you're going in to see a movie about the life and times of Thurgood Marshall, then you're sadly mistaken. Now, if you don't mind watching an entertaining and court drama, then by all means get your popcorn ready. EDIT

7/10 Detroit (2017) Emmanuel Noisette Prepare for your emotions to go up and down. I'd also encourage you to do some research on the actual historical event. It never hurts to really see how far we've come, or if little progress has been made at all. EDIT
Posted Feb 6, 2019
8/10 Annabelle: Creation (2017) Emmanuel Noisette Annabelle Creation has given me new hope that future spin off films in this franchise have the potential to be good. EDIT
Posted Feb 6, 2019
8.5/10 Crown Heights (2017) Emmanuel Noisette Crown Heights was simply an amazing movie to me. It gives you a slightly different perspective of the prison system. I thought it was great to see the effects of what prison life could do an actual innocent person. EDIT
Posted Feb 6, 2019
Burning Sands (2017) Emmanuel Noisette We want movies to make us feel things and generate discussions. This movie succeeded in both. EDIT
Posted Feb 6, 2019
8/10 mother! (2017) Emmanuel Noisette I think this may be one of those movies that movie purists, critics, and others in the film industry will simply drool all over. It's without question a very original movie. EDIT
Posted Feb 6, 2019
7/10 American Assassin (2017) Emmanuel Noisette It's the type of action, popcorn flick you go see when you simply want to be entertained. If you go in with high expectations, or plan on doing some deep analysis on this film then you've become your own enemy. EDIT
Posted Feb 6, 2019
8/10 Kingsman: The Golden Circle (2017) Emmanuel Noisette Kingsman was well worth the watch in theaters in my opinion. It's a fun movie and pure entertainment. If you haven't already, be sure to watch the previous movie first. Otherwise you'll miss just about 45% of all the references and even some jokes. EDIT
Posted Feb 6, 2019
8.5/10 Blade Runner 2049 (2017) Emmanuel Noisette Blade Runner 2049 was a solid movie. I think what hurts the movie, however, is not even the film's own fault. The swelled up expectations and anticipation behind the first film loomed over this sequel. EDIT
Posted Feb 6, 2019
6.5/10 The Mountain Between Us (2017) Emmanuel Noisette You should know going into the film that it is probably 65% romance/drama and only 35% suspenseful survival story. If you go in with those expectations, I think you'll better appreciate the film. EDIT
Posted Feb 6, 2019
5.5/10 Suburbicon (2017) Emmanuel Noisette Suburbicon could've been a great, funny, socially conscious film. Regrettably, it's just not that deep. It's a pretty random film that probably lives up to the expectations of the Cohen brothers. EDIT
Posted Feb 6, 2019
9/10 Thor: Ragnarok (2017) Emmanuel Noisette Going into the film, I was very concerned about the comedy being overbearing. Waititi created a perfect blend of both drama and humor that essentially made the movie even more so entertaining. EDIT
Posted Feb 6, 2019
9/10 Star Wars: The Last Jedi (2017) Emmanuel Noisette I should say, that Star Wars the Last Jedi is the best Star Wars film we have to date by default. This film is a natural progression of the Star Wars films because it incorporates all the good things we loved about the previous Star Wars films. EDIT
Posted Feb 6, 2019
7/10 Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle (2017) Emmanuel Noisette Overall I'd say Jumanji was an enjoyable, fun and entertaining film. Whether it lived up to the previous film is going to be up to the viewer. Personally, I think that both films excelled in different areas. EDIT

7/10 Annihilation (2018) Emmanuel Noisette It's worth a watch in theaters, but I would just caution to expect for a very heavy, and thought-provoking film. EDIT
Posted Jan 30, 2019
7/10 Insidious: The Last Key (2018) Emmanuel Noisette To this day, I can still think of the crazy and scary moments of the first two Insidious films. I can't say that about The Last Key no matter how much of a fan I may be with this franchise. EDIT
Posted Jan 30, 2019
8.5/10 My Cousin Rachel (2017) Emmanuel Noisette It's worth a watch in theaters, but I would just caution to expect for a very heavy, and thought-provoking film. Even then, you're probably still not ready to watch it. EDIT
Posted Jan 30, 2019
7/10 Tomb Raider (2018) Emmanuel Noisette Tomb Raider is a pretty safe video game movie that simply doesn't take any risks. EDIT
Posted Jan 30, 2019
9/10 Ready Player One (2018) Emmanuel Noisette Ready Player One is a no-brainer, must-see in theaters. It's such a fun movie that you'll probably want to see it again. EDIT
Posted Jan 30, 2019
6/10 Pacific Rim Uprising (2018) Emmanuel Noisette There were many times when the movie felt like it was on the right track, but then all of a sudden gets slightly derailed, and then back on track. EDIT
Posted Jan 30, 2019
8/10 A Quiet Place (2018) Emmanuel Noisette A Quiet Place is like the definition of a true horror/thriller. Many of the scenes were so intense that you'll be on the edge of your seat. You may even hold your own breath trying not to make a sound too. EDIT
Posted Jan 30, 2019
6/10 A Wrinkle in Time (2018) Emmanuel Noisette I do get the sense that this story is better to be imagined rather than seen on the big screen. I think Ava Duvernay is an amazing talent as a director, but this movie could only go so far. EDIT
Posted Jan 30, 2019
6.5/10 Super Troopers 2 (2018) Emmanuel Noisette While it has been a long time in between films, I think that Super Troopers 2 was made specifically for fans of the group. Before going into this film, you practically must rewatch Super Troopers again to fully appreciate what they do in this sequel. EDIT
Posted Jan 30, 2019
4.8/10 Downsizing (2017) Emmanuel Noisette Downsizing was simply just not a good movie, in my opinion. I wanted it to be good mainly because the concept seemed really original. EDIT
Posted Jan 30, 2019
9/10 Avengers: Infinity War (2018) Emmanuel Noisette Personally, I think that most people will either like this movie or love it. EDIT
Posted Jan 30, 2019
Once Upon a Deadpool (2018) Emmanuel Noisette It's got a ton of pop culture references, easter eggs, and cameos that will continue to keep you entertained for the entire movie. I think because of that great mix, both comic book fans and even casual moviegoers will appreciate this film. EDIT
Posted Jan 29, 2019
7.5/10 Solo: A Star Wars Story (2018) Emmanuel Noisette I think in this case, it's kinda like a magician revealing their tricks. It's still interesting to know and see, but it does lose some of the edge too. EDIT
Posted Jan 29, 2019
8/10 Upgrade (2018) Emmanuel Noisette Upgrade explores a very interesting dynamic between humans and technology. It's not a new concept, but the way it's explored feels fresh and different. EDIT
Posted Jan 29, 2019
7/10 Hotel Artemis (2018) Emmanuel Noisette All in all, Hotel Artemis is well worth the watch in theaters. I can't say that it'll have the same impact or effect that the unexpected hit John Wick achieved. EDIT
Posted Jan 29, 2019
7/10 Ocean's 8 (2018) Emmanuel Noisette Ocean's 8 simply feels a little too cookie-cutter. EDIT
Posted Jan 29, 2019
9/10 Incredibles 2 (2018) Emmanuel Noisette It's hard to recapture or exceed that magical feeling of seeing something new and unique as the first Incredibles presented itself to be. Incredibles 2 is such a worthy sequel that it certainly warrants another sequel to become a bigger franchise. EDIT
