A perfect musical, totally enjoyable even on our fourth viewing. Packed with upbeat music and decorated with flashy costumes by Colleen Atwood, it didn’t miss a beat. Normally I don’t comment much on editing, but Martin Walsh won an Oscar for his work here, and it shows. The tight editing made a big difference, cutting between fantasy, stage performance and reality with remarkable precision. I only wonder why Renée Zellweger didn’t win the Oscar for Best Actress. She deserved it.

Apart from the ending, which I thought a little rushed, this was a phenomenal musical. I highly enjoyed the stylized aspects. It truly soared.

Chigaco (2003) The film has a very vibrant energy and great chemistry, however, I couldn't connect with the story; I tried but it didn't work. It's not a bad movie, but it's not my style.

"Chicago" is a musical with a lot of energy. The dance and singing sequences are very well done. Catherine Zeta Jones is smoking hot. Renee Zellweger is perfectly cast. Queen Latifah is at her best. Even Richard Gere is surprisingly good. "Chicago" probably could have used one more grand dance scene to help balance out the strong first half. But as it stands, it is a fun production that is worthy of its accolades.

After reading other reviews-what else could I say - I hate musicals but this brought me back in and I’ve been giving them a chance there are now Musicals I like - still not all but a few w real quality and spirit. The costumes are on point with unexpected talent from both leads - like WOW!!!! John c Reilly is the g.o.a.t. At adapting to any role he’s in - well done
