I love the whole food jungle aesthetic and how the movie executes it. All of the characters are back in this one, it may not be as iconic as the first movie but this sequel still is and will always be rewatchable. I enjoy Flint’s arc with being split between Chester V and his friends, it still always brings chills down my spine rewatching that scene where Flint finds out Chester had malicious intent. Another arc I enjoyed was Tim’s arc with the pickles. I always enjoy the scenes with them. Overall, this is a classic. Again not as good as the first one, but real close. Taking over one’s land in promise to better it, telling them to evacuate their own land, colonialism, genocide. A lot of great topics were covered with such a great story. I think ppl who hate them are either dead in the head or they watched it with closed eyes. I mean you are not happy when the societies major crisis are being represented. Ugh ppl piss me off. Anyways great movie. Would probably recommend it. Story-wise, the film focuses on growth and self-worth, especially through Flint Lockwood’s journey. The screenplay keeps things simple but effective, delivering heartfelt moments without hurting the pacing. The returning cast has strong chemistry.
