Critics Consensus

A hodgepodge of science fiction homage, Another Life lacks the distinctive spark necessary to set it apart from the array of stories it aspires to be.

    It's got Spaceships & Aliens.

Great special effects. That's as good as it gets. Hard to know if this is the story of an attempt to save the world from an unknown alien artifact, or the continued introspections of the most defective, incapable "specialists" that the world could bring together to try and save it. Most Star Trek fans liked Captain Kirk, however, if every episode was mostly about his delusions and history of stupid decisions, and all his crew were equally incapable, while racing against time, it likewise would have been a single-season show. So bad that it discredits all other Netflix original productions. No wonder that Netflix does not readily display viewer ratings.

Poorly written, a lot of thing made no sense. Acting is fine.

Odd, fun, and filled with tension.

A must see for Katee Sackhoff fans! Honestly I'll watch anything she's in. I really loved this show. It's got a great story and lots of twists and drama. I'm ready for season 2 already!

So let's get this straight, all the characters are the best in their fields, but they all behave like a bunch of badly behaved 15 year old, who ever thought that would be a good idea for a story???? This is badly written, and should never have been greenlit.

loved it. loved music, plot, some characters. one of the best in this genre. well actually my favorite dystopian and space movie for sure

I really liked this show. Maybe I'm just a sucker for life on other planets, but I thought it had some good acting and it left me wanting more. Ps Nico is bad ass!

One of the worst sci-fi series i have ever seen and i watch everything in that genre. Its Beverly Hills 90210 in Space, its written so bad that you hope the ship and the whole earth simply gets obliterated. Permanent flaws in logic, smoke the "science" part in sci-fi at all here and the childish teenager-crew - supposed to be the smartest on planet earth, are behaving as if you watch a highschool-drama. Astonishing, didnt know that sb who works as a writer has so little knowledge about space, storytelling, character building...well, about everything. Its not the kind of "so bad that its fun", its simply frustrating and painful to watch as you feel how your brain cells die with every minute watching.

The story shows great potential, the actual production however fails at every step. Poor acting, terrible dialogue, and like every other Netflix production these days they've spun the "diversity" wheel up to 11. Didn't make it thru 3 episodes
