Tyler Perry's Madea's Witness Protection (2012) Shelby J. Jones I didn't know Perry could be so goofy and funny at the same time...there are no breaks. There are a few life moments but for the most part, it's all about making you laugh.

Act of Valor (2012) Shelby J. Jones Although not trained actors, the NAVY SEALs portray their characters perfectly in many ways. When they are discussing weapons, tactics and protocol, actually seems far more real than Matt Damon or Bruce Willis. Sorry dudes, they just do.

Clash of the Titans (2010) Shelby J. Jones Somehow the filmmakers seemed to forget they were charged with telling literally one of the greatest stories ever. Maybe the film should have been slower, faster, something but it wasn't. The audience deserved way more depth than visual 3D.

Hot Tub Time Machine (2010) Shelby J. Jones "...with the overused starting point of bored dudes with nothing to do and lives to solve, the film made me laugh often but somehow I felt as if the film wanted to be, could have been but just missed its mark. But damn it was a funny miss."
